Galeria Estação
With 10 years of activity on the Brazilian cultural scenario, the Galeria Estação has strongly presented its profile, showing popular artists and inserting them in the art market.
We have invited curators, teachers and critics, used to the contemporary scene, to write about and be curators for these. In this way, they have started to occupy and share space in the specialised media.
With exhibitions both inside and outside Brazilian territory, including the exhibition titled “Histoire de Voir” (Show and Tell) at the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art - Paris (France) in 2012, the Biennial Between Two Seas- São Paulo (Brazil) and Valencia (Spain) in 2007, we have further publicised the names of our artists.
Many of them have their works in the collections of important Brazilian collectors, as also in leading institutions in the field, such as the Pinacothèque of the State of São Paulo, the AfroBrazil Museum in São Paulo, the Pavilion of Brazilian Cultures, in São Paulo, the Museum of Modern Art (MAM) in Rio de Janeiro and the Cartier Foundation in Paris, France.
Brazil ArtFair
BRAZIL ARTFAIR
The Brazil ArtFair Brazil is the first fair dedicated to Brazilian galleries during Miami Art Week.
A gateway to the biggest market in the world and a platform for the promotion, development and valorization of Brazilian artists and galleries.
In the heart of Midtown, an area that gathers some of the most important fairs in the Miami Art Week circuit, Brazil ArtFair provides opportunities for art galleries and design studios, in a 5 day exhibition period.
In our first edition, we will present to the world a rich and creative art scene, with an amazing potential of growth and development. Through an innovative exhibition format that values and gives context to the artworks on our walls, we want our visitors to have an experience closer to visiting a gallery or exhibition, instead of a traditional art fair.
An invitation for a closer look into our artists mind.
"SUSPENDED TIME" – PROLOGUE
The group exhibition curated by Luisa Duarte, "Tempo suspenso – prólogo [Suspended Time – prologue]" will showcase about 15 contemporary Brazilian artists in an exhibition that investigates the echoes of the crisis of the modernist project and its utopias. How it reflects over our national artistic production and society, in a country where the modernist movement arrived late and were executed on an erratic manner. The expectation created around the future of Brazil, some kind of “promised land” in contrast with the present reality and our relation with the "now".
MIAMI ART WEEK
From December 3rd to 8th, Miami hosts more than 20 fairs and becomes the most important art circuit in the world, with galleries from the five continents taking over the city.
A rendezvous of gallery owners and artists with jet setters, curators, collectors, buyers, and art dealers that brings over 100 thousand visitors to the city to enjoy hundreds of parallel events, from private collections tours, lectures and private viewings.
Featuring an array of talents, from renowned to emergent artists, it encompasses modern and contemporary art as well as experimental art and cutting-edge design.
