Galeria Estação at ArtRio 2026 | Booth C6
From September 16–20, Galeria Estação will participate in ArtRio 2026 at Marina da Glória, presenting a selection that brings together historical and contemporary artists from different generations, backgrounds, and trajectories.
With concept and design by Casa Vida Cenário, the booth takes the encounter between highly distinctive artistic languages as a starting point, creating connections across different moments in Brazilian art.
The historical selection features Agnaldo dos Santos, Aurelino dos Santos, Cardosinho, Conceição dos Bugres, Itamar Julião, Júlio Martins, Madalena Santos Reinbolt, Nino, and Nuca. The contemporary artists include André Barion, Higo José, Julio Villani, Rafael Pereira, and Santídio Pereira.
The presentation also features a panel of 42 ex-votos, selected by Vilma Eid from Galeria Estação’s collection and brought together especially for ArtRio. Presented as an ensemble, these sculptures establish connections between faith, material culture, and sculpture, bringing different periods, hands, and histories into a shared space.
By placing such distinct practices in dialogue, the project proposes a view of Brazilian art that moves beyond the classifications that have historically separated certain forms of artistic production. Rather than seeking formal affinities, the presentation is interested in bringing together artists who, each in their own way, have developed distinctive visual systems and artistic languages of their own.
