11th edition of the Rio de Janeiro Art Fair
ArtRio 2021 will take place between September 8 and 12. The gallery registration process finished on April 30th.
Recognized as one of the main art events in Latin America, ArtRio is an opportunity to see, in the same space, works by renowned masters as well as works by new artists in a special selection from the main galleries in the country. The Rio de Janeiro Art Fair hosted its tenth edition in a double experience, between October 14 and 18 2020, at the Marina da Glória pavilion, and from 14 to 15, in the online version.
Amidst an atypical year, ArtRio resumed its innovative program. In addition to returning to the in-person programs PANORAMA, which reunites well-established galleries in the circuit, and VISTA, with young galleries with experimental curatorial projects conceived especially for the fair, we also had the online modality, offering safety, variety and free accessibility to the exhibition projects. The virtual edition featured an intense event program including lectures, talks, roundtable discussions, performances and guided tours throughout all the event days. At the Marina da Glória we received, for the fourth year, MIRA, a video art program curated by Victor Gorgulho.
